These policies are here to help keep the program safe, organized, and enjoyable for everyone.
You should have terms & conditions for that, yes — especially since it involves minors.
Below is a solid version you can paste into Squarespace. It matches the style of your Redline terms, but tailored for an 8-week teen series.
By registering for this class series, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Registration & Payment
Registration is confirmed only after payment is received.
Pricing is as listed on the event page at the time of purchase. Discounts (such as multi-student pricing) apply only as described in the listing.
2. Refund & Cancellation Policy
All sales are final. No refunds will be issued for missed classes due to illness, scheduling conflicts, travel, sports, school events, or other personal reasons.
If Swingout Rhythm Dance Club cancels the series or cancels a class without a makeup option, a prorated refund may be issued at the organizer’s discretion.
3. Missed Classes
This is an 8-week progressive series. Students are encouraged to attend consistently.
Missed classes are not refundable and may not be made up unless otherwise stated. If a student misses a class, they may request a brief summary of what was covered.
4. Transfer Policy
Registrations are transferable only with organizer approval.
If you need to transfer a registration to another student, please email info@srdc.online with the full name and contact information of the new participant at least 24 hours before the first class.
5. Student Eligibility (Grades 9–12 Only)
This class is intended for students currently enrolled in grades 9–12. By registering, you confirm the participant meets this eligibility requirement.
Swingout Rhythm Dance Club reserves the right to refuse participation if eligibility requirements are not met.
6. Parent / Guardian Consent
By registering a student under 18 years old, the parent or legal guardian confirms that they give permission for the student to participate in this dance class series.
Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring accurate emergency contact information is provided at registration.
7. Drop-Off / Pick-Up Policy
This is a drop-off class.
Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring the student is dropped off and picked up on time. Swingout Rhythm Dance Club and The Dance Conservatory are not responsible for supervision outside of scheduled class time.
Students should not arrive more than 10 minutes early or remain more than 10 minutes after class unless otherwise arranged.
8. Behavior & Code of Conduct
Swingout Rhythm Dance Club is committed to creating a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment.
Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior (including bullying, harassment, inappropriate language, or refusal to follow instructor direction) will not be tolerated.
The organizer reserves the right to remove a student from the class without refund if their behavior compromises the safety or experience of others.
9. Health & Safety
Dance involves physical activity and carries inherent risk. Participants are responsible for knowing their physical limits and informing the instructor of any injuries or restrictions.
Students should not attend class if they are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of illness.
10. Dress & Footwear
Students should wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement.
Smooth-soled shoes that allow for easy turning are recommended. Shoes that may damage the dance floor are not permitted.
11. Photography & Media Release
Photos and short videos may be taken during classes and the final showcase for promotional purposes.
By registering, participants and guardians consent to the use of photos/video unless the parent/guardian notifies the organizer in writing in advance at info@srdc.online.
12. Final Showcase
The series includes a final showcase performance on the date listed in the class description. Participation is encouraged but optional.
Showcase participation may require arriving early and/or staying slightly later on the final day.
13. Liability Waiver
By participating, students and guardians acknowledge that dance classes involve inherent physical risks, including but not limited to injury.
Participants and guardians agree not to hold Swingout Rhythm Dance Club, The Dance Conservatory, instructors, staff, volunteers, or affiliates liable for any injury, illness, or loss of personal property resulting from participation.
