Redline Swing in Mount Kisco with live music
Wow wow WOW! The energy you all brought to our last dance with Sunny Side from New Orleans is exactly why we do what we do. We’ve had an incredible lineup of bands this summer from near and far, and this felt like the perfect wrap up to the season.
There’s no slowing down for us this autumn: we’re bringing some exciting new opportunities to get together and dance! Starting next week, we’re expanding our weekly classes to two locations, introducing a new and more flexible way to sign up, and getting ready for more nights of dancing with live music.
Read on to learn more about what we’re looking forward to in our community and how you can be part of it!
A New Way to Sign Up for Classes
We’re making a few changes to how class registration works to make things more flexible and easier to manage for everyone.
Going forward, you’ll RSVP for each class in advance. This means you can choose the classes that work for your schedule and sign up as often as you’d like.
Because our classes are designed with social dancing in mind, they work best when you have enough other people there to practice with. For this reason, we have a minimum enrollment that must be reached at least 48 hours before each class. If the minimum is not reached by that deadline, the class will automatically be cancelled, and anyone who registered will receive a refund or have their class credit restored, as applicable.
Once a class has reached its minimum, that class remains on the schedule and registration will stay open right up until start time as long as there is space available. This will maximize our time together and help us grow both as dancers and a community. It will also mean more personalized lesson planning, so we can focus on what’s most meaningful and useful to you. If you want to help ensure your class happens when you can make it, sign up early and tell your friends to do the same.
We’re using a new system to help organize all of this, and we’ll be refining it as needed along the way. Thank you for your patience as we get everything running smoothly!
NEW: Wednesday Classes at Redline
In addition to our Monday night classes at TDC, we’re excited to announce a second weekly class location!
Beginning next week, we’ll offer our Lindy Hop classes on Wednesdays at Redline Music Stage on weeks when there isn’t a Redline Swing band night.
Mondays | The Dance Conservatory
7:30–8:30 PM | Cortlandt Manor
Wednesdays | Redline Music Stage
7:00–8:00 PM | Mount Kisco
These classes are designed to give you a place to keep building your Lindy Hop skills, practice your connection and musicality, and, of course, spend more time dancing with other people in our community. There is something for everyone in our classes, and we curate lessons to meet each dancer where they are.
And now you have two nights and two locations to choose from each week!
Looking for more personalized instruction on your own schedule? I also offer private lessons for dancers who want to work, either one-on-one or with a partner, on technique, musicality, specific skills, or whatever you're currently working on. Reach out to schedule a lesson
Help Us Welcome the Next Generation
Our next Extra Credit: Lindy Edition teen class begins at the end of this month, and we’re just 2 students away from reaching the minimum enrollment needed to run the class!
If you know a high school student in grades 9–12 who might enjoy swing dancing, send them our way.
One of the most meaningful parts of this dance is that it has been passed from one generation to the next for nearly a century. By introducing young people to Lindy Hop, we get to help carry that tradition forward and give the next generation a chance to make it their own.
Please spread the word. Details & Registration are on our website

This is OUR Community
Swing dancing has always been about more than just learning steps. It’s about people coming together: meeting new friends, learning from one another, sharing music, and keeping a remarkable dance tradition alive.
And the community we have here in the Lower Hudson Valley is something we all have a hand in building.
Every time you come to class, bring a friend, introduce someone new to the dance floor, share an event, or simply show up and dance with someone you haven’t met before, you’re helping shape the kind of community we’re creating together.
The more people who discover swing dancing, the more possibilities we have to bring great music and dancing to our area, learn and grow together, and create opportunities for dancers of all ages and experience levels.
So help us spread the word and grow the scene! Invite a friend to class. Share the next Redline Swing. Tell someone about the teen program. Bring a new face into the community.
Let’s keep building something that brings joy to all of us, and keep sharing the legacy of this incredible dance tradition with the people who come after us.
We can’t wait to see you on the dance floor!
With gratitude,
Kelly
