Refund Policy

Thank you for supporting Swingout Rhythm Dance Club. We value your participation and strive to provide a positive experience. The following refund policy outlines the terms under which we issue refunds for classes, events, and other products or services purchased through our website, swingoutrhythmdanceclub.com.

 

1. Timeframe for Requesting a Refund

You may request a refund within 7 calendar days of your purchase or at least 24 hours before the scheduled start of a class, event, or session—whichever comes first.

For example:

  • If you purchased a dance class on July 1 for a July 10 class, you must request a refund by July 3 (7-day window) or by July 9 (24 hours before the event), whichever is earlier.
     

 

2. Types of Refunds: Full or Partial

Refunds may be full or partial, depending on the timing and circumstances:

Request received within 7 days of purchase and/or at least 24 hours before event (whichever is most applicable) = Full refund


Request received less than 24 hours before event and/or within more than 7 days of purchase (whichever is most applicable) = Partial refund or credit, at our discretion

 

No-show without notice = No refund

 

Event canceled by us = Full refund or credit

 

Technical error in payment = Full refund upon verification

 

3. Eligible Refund Conditions

Refunds may be granted under the following conditions:

  • Illness, injury, or personal emergency (with reasonable notice)
     

  • Event cancellation or rescheduling by Swingout Rhythm Dance Club
     

  • Duplicate or mistaken payments
     

  • Accessibility-related barriers that prevent participation
     

Note: We may require proof or documentation in some cases, such as for medical or billing disputes.

 

4. How to Request a Refund

Include:

  • Your full name
     

  • Date and description of the event or product
     

  • Reason for the refund request
     

  • Payment confirmation or receipt (if available)
     

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 5 business days.

 

5. Refund Method and Processing Time

If approved, your refund will be issued to the original form of payment (e.g., credit card, PayPal) unless you request a credit instead. Refunds may take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your financial institution.

 

6. Non-Refundable Items

The following purchases are generally non-refundable:

  • Digital downloads or on-demand content once accessed or downloaded
     

  • Discounted “early bird” tickets unless the event is canceled
     

  • Merchandise marked final sale
     

  • Membership dues (if applicable) unless legally required
     

 

7. Legal Disclaimers & Consumer Rights

This refund policy is consistent with applicable New York State consumer protection laws, including the New York General Business Law (GBL § 349–350).

We reserve the right to refuse or limit refunds in cases of suspected abuse, repeated refund requests, or violation of our terms of service. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under New York law.
